The Institute of Public Administration offers a presentation-skills course

The Institute of Public Administration, in contract with the Southern Governorate, held a presentation and presentation arts course for department heads and supervisors in the five governorates of the Kingdom, in the period from May 7-10 of this month at the headquarters of the Southern Governorate. This course aimed to develop the participants' skills by using the methods and arts of speaking, presentation, and ways to attract the attention of listeners and influence them. In this course, trainer Thabet Hijazi touched on how to learn about modern concepts of the art of public speaking, the characteristics of a distinguished speaker, and ways to develop self-confidence and the ability to confront limiting fears and anxiety in order to achieve harmony with the audience and create a basis of compatibility with different personalities by possessing various practical skills such as controlling the tone of voice and body gestures and mastering effective theatrical connections. At the end of the course, the participants made and presented a presentation in which they applied the topics covered in the course, including planning the presentation, choosing its topic, presentation skills, overcoming stage fright, and avoiding lack of concentration during the presentation, in addition to managing time during the presentation, focusing on kinetic language, and dealing with difficult situations. It is worth noting that the Institute of Public Administration aims, through these contractual courses, to refine national cadres within continuous qualitative plans and programs that guarantee them to improve their ability to reach the best level of performance and effectiveness to achieve the general strategy of the vision.
