Director General of the Institute of Public Administration: Supreme Council for Women’s Silver Jubilee Reflects a Quarter-Century of Remarkable Achievements under Bahrain’s Comprehensive Development Process

Shaikha Rana bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed that the Silver Jubilee of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women represents a significant milestone in Bahrain’s national journey, reflecting the support and attention accorded to Bahraini women by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him. This support has contributed to strengthening the position of Bahraini women and enhancing their contributions across various areas of development.

Her remarks came on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women. She affirmed that the theme of the occasion, “Twenty-Five Years at the Heart of the Reform Project,” embodies a quarter-century of remarkable achievements under Bahrain’s comprehensive development process and reflects the pivotal role of women as key partners in the Kingdom’s national development journey.

She highlighted the pioneering role of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, and Her Royal Highness’s continuous efforts and contributions towards advancing Bahraini women and strengthening their achievements. She also commended the Supreme Council for Women for the accomplishments and initiatives it has delivered over the past twenty-five years, which have contributed to strengthening women’s presence and participation across various sectors.

She noted that the Silver Jubilee of the Supreme Council for Women coincides with the designation of this year as the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer,” commemorating the legacy of the founder of the modern state, the late His Highness Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ruler of Bahrain and its Dependencies, may his soul rest in peace. She stated that this occasion reflects the continuity of Bahrain’s firmly established national approach to building and developing state institutions and advancing the Kingdom’s journey of development and prosperity.

Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa expressed her immense pride in the remarkable achievements of Bahraini women over the past quarter-century, noting that women have become essential and active partners in the Kingdom’s development journey. She reaffirmed the Institute of Public Administration’s commitment to achieving gender balance, based on its belief in the ability of Bahraini women to contribute effectively to institutional development. She further emphasised the Institute’s commitment to continuing to build and strengthen women’s leadership and professional capabilities in support of the aspirations and advancement of government work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
