Focus Areas

• This objective aligns with the Institute’s strategic directions in advancing public administration and training, creating knowledge, and building leadership capacity. Through its academic and professional programmes, assessment services, and guidance, the Institute develops the knowledge and skills of public and private sector employees while promoting a culture of continuous learning and development. It also prepares and empowers leaders to understand modern management trends and apply them to enhance institutional performance and support sustainable development plans.
• Alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goal Targets: The development of professional and leadership skills aligns with Target 4.4, which focuses on increasing the number of youth and adults with the skills needed for employment. Integrating sustainability concepts into programmes also aligns with Target 4.7, which focuses on acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.

Strengthening Governance and Institutional Development.

Focus Areas

• The Institute’s contribution to this objective focuses on supporting the development of more effective institutions through administrative and institutional development and reinforcing the principles of governance and transparency. The Institute promotes the efficient and sustainable use of resources and develops flexible work environments that can respond to technological and economic changes, helping improve performance across public and private sector institutions.
• Alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goal Targets: This direction aligns particularly with Target 16.6, which focuses on developing effective, accountable, and transparent institutions at all levels. The alignment therefore centres on the institutional dimension of the Goal, within the Institute’s mandate.

Strengthening Institutional Partnerships and Coordinating Efforts.

Focus Areas

• This objective aligns with the Institute’s direction towards business development, expanding advisory services, and fostering an environment of service excellence through strategic partnerships and effective communication channels with public and private sector institutions, as well as regional and international organisations. These partnerships enable the exchange of knowledge and expertise, the coordination of efforts, and the provision of management and research solutions that support institutional development and enhance efficiency and productivity, addressing national development priorities.
• Alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goal Targets: The exchange of knowledge and expertise through partnerships aligns with Target 17.16, which focuses on strengthening multi-stakeholder partnerships to support sustainable development. Cooperation between government entities and private sector institutions also aligns with Target 17.17, which encourages effective public, public-private, and civil society partnerships.
