Professional level project management program in cooperation with Ernst & Young International

Yesterday, the Institute of Public Administration received participants in the first batch of the professional level project management program, numbering 16 employees who completed the basic level from various ministries and government agencies. This program comes in cooperation with the international company Ernst & Young to meet the training need for such specialized programs that seek to refine and develop the project management skills of government employees, which in turn is reflected in the quality and effectiveness of the projects presented by the government, especially with the huge amount of projects that the public sector is working on, in implementation of the initiatives stipulated in the National Strategy 2030. The professional level of the program provides insight into and cutting-edge knowledge areas related to the project management function. It aims to provide the target groups with advanced concepts and technology for project management, train them to manage vital project scenarios, and enable them to keep pace with impacts and control change and poor performance. This is in addition to making them more capable of leadership and taking critical decisions to implement projects. On the other hand, the program aims to provide them with the skills of monitoring performance, taking initiative in taking the right actions, managing stakeholders, managing contracts, and the implications of project success. Participants in the program will undergo eight training courses, 14 training days long, spread over five weeks. The courses will cover: The most important topics of interest to those working in the field of project management are project governance, developing successful plans for projects, managing the constraints and triple obstacles to project management, managing contracts and suppliers, managing successful project work teams, effective communication for project management, improving project performance, and finally tools related to project management. It is worth noting that the Project Management Program is considered one of the specialized programs offered by the Institute of Public Administration to meet the training needs identified by the public sector. Next month, it will receive the seventh batch of the basic level after redesigning the program based on the observations of previous batches in cooperation with Ernst & Young. The registration department at the institute will receive nominations from ministries starting this month.
