The Kingdom of Bahrain Hosts the Second In-Person Component of the "Future of Work in Government for Gulf Countries" Program Director General of the Institute of Public Administration: Bahrain's successful hosting of the second in-person component of the program is the result of well-structured plans, driven by confidence in the ambition and competence of national and Gulf talents

Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, emphasized that Bahrain's success in hosting the second in-person component of the "Future of Work in Government for Gulf Countries" program is the result of well-planned strategies. These efforts reflect Bahrain's belief in the ambition and competence of national and Gulf talents, as well as their ability to achieve governmental goals and aspirations in alignment with Gulf visions and strategies for sustainability and human resource development. She further stated that the institute will continue its efforts to explore mechanisms for enhancing the capabilities of government leaders, to advance administrative development. This remains a core objective that the institute, in collaboration with its counterparts in public administration institutes across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), seeks to achieve following the highest global standards and best practices. Her remarks came during the opening of the second in-person component of the program, organized by the Institute of Public Administration in partnership with the Royal Academy of Management in the Sultanate of Oman, Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, and the General Secretariat of the GCC. Her Excellency also highlighted that GCC countries are moving in the right direction in strengthening government leadership capabilities to effectively address current and future challenges. She underscored the importance of Gulf cooperation and integration in enhancing the ability to navigate economic and administrative challenges in the region, which in turn fosters collaboration to achieve shared strategic goals. She added that this initiative reflects the institute's ambitious vision to serve as a hub for leadership thought and administrative development, contributing to the preparation of leaders who will advance administrative progress in Bahrain and beyond. Dr. Shaikha Rana also noted that the "Future of Work in Government for Gulf Countries" program has successfully attracted 65 trainees from managerial positions in the public sector across the GCC. This achievement aligns with the program’s strategic objectives of developing government leaders capable of implementing strategies and adapting to the rapid changes in institutional work environments through innovative solutions. Additionally, the program facilitates knowledge exchange among leaders from different GCC nations. The second in-person component of the program focused on two main themes, targeting decision-makers across various government institutions in the Gulf. The first theme addressed "Public-Private Partnership Projects and Digital Transformation Indicators," while the second focused on "The Role of Best Practices in Digital Transformation and Innovation." To maximize the program’s impact, the Institute of Public Administration engaged specialized experts in administration, leadership, and innovation to share cutting-edge applications and best practices. This initiative aims to equip participants with innovative approaches to tackling governmental challenges, enabling them to develop alternative solutions and implement groundbreaking projects.
