At a meeting with participants in the Leadership Program, the President of Customs says national cadres are essential to advancing government operations

His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Customs Affairs, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain considers national cadres to be a fundamental foundation for improving the government operations, as they are the backbone of development and the main engine for raising the quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens. He pointed out that national leaders today are responsible for transferring their cumulative scientific and applied experiences to their institutional cadres, towards developing them and enabling them in the future to make decisions and build institutional work policies that are in line with government development plans and initiatives. This came during his presentation of a dialogue session entitled “The Leader and His Role in Achieving the Aspirations of the Kingdom of Bahrain” for members of the 29th batch of the Leadership Programme, which is presented by the Institute of Public Administration to public sector managers within the National Program for Government Leadership Development. His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that such gatherings, which are provided by the Institute of Public Administration through the National Program for Government Leadership Development for all public sector employees, would create unified government communities that bring together national leaders from various public sector institutions, which would create a government work network that works to network all efforts towards facilitating procedures and coming up with national initiatives and projects that serve the citizen and meet his aspirations by raising the level and efficiency of the services provided. Her Excellency Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Issa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, indicated that The institute’s national cadres are working to design all programmes, plans and initiatives in line with the local needs of the institutional work system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding that the National Program for Government Leadership Development is one of the Institute’s most prominent programmes, which during its design took into account international standards and the needs of public sector employees in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which contributed to coming up with a program that combines the scientific and practical aspects, in addition to the best government practices and the cumulative experiences of national leaders in the public sector.
