Seef District –The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration: Under the patronage of His Excellency Minister of Finance Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration held on 24th May 2012 at its headquarter in Seef District, a ceremony to launch the Professional Certificate in Public Finance in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed bin Zayed Al Zayed the President of the Civil Service Bureau, BIPA Chairman, senior officials of finance sectors in government ministries and entities as well as a number of experts and specialists in public finance. His Excellency Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams BIPA Director General and Board Member said that the program aimed to bolster staff capabilities in the directorates and departments of public finance in the government sector to enable them to carry out their duties in the best way possible, in addition to boosting the best practices in government financial transactions through a series of integrated specialized courses covering most of the functional levels. The Public Finance Professional Certificate is designed in cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and PIPA via partnership with the Faculty of Civil Service of the Republic of Singapore. The participants of the specialists’ category, accountants, receive after completion of the program, the Certificate in Basic Public Finance, and participants from the category of heads of departments and units receive the professional certificate in public finance. Finally the category of managers, where participants receive advanced professional certificate in the public finance. The Institute of Public Administration will also launch five courses listed in the general plan including two courses for heads of units and accountants, two courses for managers, department heads and the last course will target all workers in the public finances.
