BIPA IS ONE OF THE FIRST BATCHES OF GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS TO SUBSCRIBE TO AMAZON INTERNET SERVICES (AWS)

His Excellency Dr. Raid Mohammed Bin Shams, Director-General of the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) reconfirms the fact that BIPA has been one of the government organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain to subscribe to Amazon Internet Services system (AWS) by hosting the electronic training system (LMS) on Amazon Cloud computer system and that such subscription reflect BIPA's aspirations to assume a regional pioneering status for providing, making available and enhancing e- training services, products and solutions, contributing to sustainability and growth of Arabic e-training contents, which are in line with the values of BIPA and are designed to achieve inspiring leadership that transcends our expectations. Bin Shams explained that the BIPA's success in approving Amazon's cloud computerization system in the e-training programs offered to all ministries, organizations and agencies in both the private and public sectors has contributed to a saving of 98% in the annual cost of the training programs, besides being relieved of the venue and time restrictions, reduction of training durations and allowing a trainee the opportunity and freedom in selecting the appropriate training modules. He added that keeping pace with information and communications technologies is today a pressing necessity for government institutions and the private sector on an equal footing in order to keep abreast of the wheel of development and achievement of sustainable development. Bin Shams added that BIPA embraces a crystal clear policy in  its e-training programs, which are based on the foundation of an integrated electronic environment that enables training opportunities and assists trainees in learning, drawing attention to the targets that have been achieved by virtue of BIPA's approval of cloud computing systems, involving reduction in the costs of annual maintenance contracts, saving of the time and effort of information technology engineers, speeding up the construction of the infrastructure of e-training programs, in addition to availability of the most recent technologies for BIPA's customers to enable them to keep pace with the state- of-the-art technologies.
